Apart from interesting articles about all aspects of the Art World each Volume came with up to 30 full page Steel Engravings. Engraved by the best Engravers of the day and only after top 19th Century Artists. Up till around 1875 the majority of prints were Steel with a smattering of Etchings, photogravures and etchings.
